Amanda Hawkins | Regional Manager, Timberland Partners

In our latest Team Viewpoint, we spoke with Amanda Hawkins, Regional Manager for the Upper Midwest, about her nearly 14-year career with Timberland Partners.

What do you enjoy most about your position as a regional manager?

I love the people I work for and helping people. A lot of times as a regional manager, when somebody is calling you, it’s because they’ve got a problem and they’re looking for it to be solved. So, that’s a really fun part of my job — to give them that relief, hope, and joy, and help solve their problem.

From your perspective as a regional manager, what makes Timberland Partners communities stand out among the competition?

It goes back to us doing the right thing and having the right people in place. Our residents know we’re going to take care of them. We’re going to provide a home that’s clean, neat and friendly for them. We’re going to ensure that everything in their home is well-maintained. We’ve got fabulous service teams that are available 24 hours a day if there’s an emergency. You’ve got on-site management teams that are also owners. So, they take pride in making sure that their home is taken care of.

What would you say to investors who have money on the line and are interested in how Timberland Partners’ communities are managed?

Each of our leaders at the community level feels that they have input and ownership in the property they manage. They care about it. They want to see it be successful just as we do. And so, when a property is well cared for and well managed, it tends to do very well.

What should current or prospective investors know about Timberland Partners?

Our leadership and on-site teams honestly care about our investors. We want to make sure that we are doing the right thing at the site-level, so we can deliver a good return on investment. Our team members also want to ensure that they can be proud of what they’re investing in, and that their funds are going to bettering the lives of the residents, while also providing a living for many team members.
